Why create spray paint art on a mirror?

A lot of people ask, “why paint on the mirror?” The answer, why not? By creating artwork on mirrors, we get an amazing decoration for any room in the adorable silhouette style. The mirror adds durability and quality to the art itself. The overall art style becomes a dreamy, almost smoky image, when burned into the mirror. Plus, by using a simple night light or desk lamp you can create an awesome nightlight image in your home!

How To Create A Nightlight Image:

This is the fun and simple part! Lay your mirror flat on a flat surface. Make sure to position the mirror far enough away from the edge to avoid falling or being damaged. Next, take a small light. A nightlight, desk light, or even a book light will work. Position the light at the bottom of the mirror but up high enough that the light shines down on the image. Now watch the magic happen! You may need to adjust the position of your light to get the image where you want it on the wall or ceiling.

How It's Made:

All artwork is made with spray paint. Painting is created using a reverse silhouette painting style that allows parts of the original mirror to show through the colors of the actual painting. After this has dried, a very specific burning technique is then applied to ensure that the paint fuses onto the mirror. This prevents paint peeling and chipping while also creating a dreamy effect to the overall painting. Created with colors from Montana Gold, Montana Black, Krylon and Rustoleum depending on what is needed for the painting. All mirrors have a gloss finish. Every piece is unique in its own way and may arrive slightly different than the one you see listed. Colors will remain the same and all artwork is made to order. I will make the mirror as close a match to the original in the photo as I can. If you would like to customize your own colors or have an idea for a new image, please feel free to message me! I am happy to work with you on designing your mirror just the way you like! All custom orders will be designed by me and then approved by you prior to any payments or painting. All images are storybook inspired fan art. Some stencils were purchased specifically for use. Please note these mirrors are currently not ready to hang. They can have a hanger attached, be placed on a tile/plate stand, or put into a frame. None of these come with the mirror as listed. I am happy to make these ready to hang/stand for you if you would like. If you request the mirror be ready to hang/stand, there will be a small additional fee for the supplies needed to accomplish the request.
